What is SENSE?
SENSE allows people who believe they have a problem with their gambling to voluntarily enrol in a scheme to exclude themselves nationally from all land-based casinos in the UK.
How does it work?
Under the scheme, players wishing to self-exclude will, for the first time, be able to do so from any of the UK’s casinos participating in the SENSE scheme.
Customers who ask to exclude from a casino because of gambling problems will be asked to join SENSE. The exclusion information will then be extended to all casinos participating in SENSE.
The SENSE system will circulate the self-exclusion application form and photograph, it can also interface with companies’ loyalty cards, vouchers and other marketing tools to remove the enrolee from marketing databases and allow checks to be made of the central system. SENSE can assist casino staff in identifying self-excluders who may breach the agreement.
Information about self-excluders will only be searchable by registered users and will be proactively circulated to casinos operated by different companies in the same area.
For the first time treatment providers will, if their clients request it, be able to add an individual’s details directly to SENSE.
Enrolment is quick and simple for more information please download the customer information leaflet which covers the steps to enrolment as well as the SENSE Terms and Conditions.
If you do not wish to enrol by visiting a casino premises you may enrol via post or email by downloading and completing this enrolment form and sending it to your local participating venue (a map of operating venues can be found here) . This process will take longer and may require a casino manager to contact you to verify the enrolment request.
